Children's Law Center works to identify areas where system reform is needed, raise awareness of foster care issues within the greater community, and advocate for change locally, statewide, and on the national stage.
CLC possesses the expertise, in-depth knowledge, and credibility to engage the public in dialogue with regard to critical matters surrounding our foster care system. News media, government officials, legislators, and other organizations regularly seek out CLC's participation and comment on issues that impact children in foster care and their families.
The Children's Law Center plays a leadership role in sponsoring the Annual Los Angeles Foster Care Awareness Campaign. One of the main sponsored events during this month long campaign was the May 22, 2007 Foster Youth Job Shadow Day. For further information, see: Foster Care Awareness Campaign.
