Children's Law Center of Los Angeles

Children who have been abused, neglected, or abandoned come under the protection of the Los Angeles County Juvenile Dependency Court system. Children's Law Center was created by the Superior Court over a decade ago to serve as appointed counsel for these youth.

With a 185 person staff of lawyers, paralegals, and investigators, CLC represents more than 80% of the nearly 30,000 children under the jurisdiction of the dependency court.

CLC attorneys appear on behalf of children in day-to-day dependency proceedings and also provide committed, passionate representation in a host of related hearings that seek to ensure the well being and future success of each child.
